Creativity thrives at Bellarine Springs, where residents come together to craft, connect, and contribute to the wider community
There’s always something creative happening at Bellarine Springs
Since 2017, the Craft Group has brought together residents who share a love for making and creating. Every Tuesday afternoon, the Pavilion fills with conversation, laughter, and a wonderful burst of colour.
There’s always a new project to explore, from knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and quilting to more unique crafts like silk painting, felting, polymer clay jewellery, tile painting, paint-by-numbers, and even scarf tying.
The group’s creativity extends beyond the village, too. Their beautiful handmade beanies, lap blankets, and baby clothes are lovingly donated to the Andrew Love Cancer Centre, Geelong Mums, Cottage by the Sea, and The Outpost Geelong.
After each session, members gather at the Community Centre for a relaxing cuppa and a chat, often planning their next creative outing (the latest adventure was a visit to the Wool Museum in Geelong!).
At Bellarine Springs, creativity isn’t just a pastime; it’s a way to build friendship, fulfilment, and community connection.
