Bellarine Springs Fundraiser for Smith Family

A Community-Focused Event at Bellarine Springs Retirement Village

More than 100 residents and guests came together at Bellarine Springs Retirement Village for an afternoon filled with music, generosity and connection. Held on Wednesday 30th July, the event blended live entertainment, fundraising, and community spirit; a perfect reflection of the thriving retirement village community at Bellarine Springs.

Supporting the Smith Family’s Learning for Life Program

The afternoon was organised in partnership with the Drysdale VIEW Club to raise funds for the Smith Family Learning for Life Program, which helps underprivileged children access educational essentials and long-term support.

Thanks to the kindness of residents, guests, and local sponsors, the event raised more than $3,000, directly contributing to school supplies, learning resources, and mentoring opportunities for children facing disadvantage.

An Afternoon of Music, Laughter and Connection

Live Elvis Entertainment and Social Activities

One of the highlights of the event was the crowd-pleasing Elvis tribute performance, which had residents dancing, clapping and singing along. The energy was infectious, with people filling the room, sharing stories, and celebrating the power of community.

Between performances, attendees enjoyed socialising over delicious food and local wine. It was a wonderful example of how retirement village events can bring joy, belonging and purpose to residents while supporting important causes.

Building Strong Community Connections

Bellarine Springs and Drysdale VIEW Club Working Together

This fundraising afternoon wasn’t just an event; it was a demonstration of strong community partnerships. The collaboration between Bellarine Springs, the Drysdale VIEW Club, local sponsors, and residents highlights how retirement communities can play a powerful role in broader community support initiatives.

Residents commented on how rewarding it felt to give back, especially to a program that helps break the cycle of poverty for young people.

A Retirement Village Committed to Purpose and Social Impact

At Bellarine Springs, social engagement is a big part of village life. Events like this (blending fun, friendship and giving) reflect the active, connected lifestyle the village is known for across the Bellarine Peninsula.
