Bellarine Springs was proud to once again sponsor the “Best in Show” award at the 47th Annual Easter Art Expo, presented by the Bellarine North Rotary Club. Held at the Christian College Sports Stadium in Drysdale, the event raised an impressive $15,500 in support of Rotary initiatives both locally and internationally.
The stadium was transformed into a vibrant gallery, featuring an outstanding collection of original works from talented artists, photographers, and creatives from across the region and beyond. Visitors not only experienced a high-calibre exhibition, but also enjoyed a welcoming atmosphere, great food, and the opportunity to connect with the community.
Congratulations to the 2026 “Best in Show” winner, Glenn Hoyle, for his stunning piece, #110 Still Life. In selecting the winning work, judges commented:
“I love how he uses warm colours against cool tones, contrasting a variety of textures - from the peeled orange to the smooth vase and stone-topped wooden table. The light shining through the orange slice shows he has truly mastered it all!”
Upon receiving the award, Glenn shared:
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to showcase my work to such a wide audience. Winning was a wonderful bonus!”
Further highlighting his talent, three of his four exhibited works were sold during the Expo - an impressive achievement and a clear reflection of his skill.
This year’s theme, “Unite for Good,” was evident throughout the event, with volunteers, artists, families, and the wider community coming together to create a memorable and successful exhibition. Attendees and participants alike praised the professionalism, inclusivity, and friendly spirit that continue to define the Expo. Special thanks go to the dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly over the Easter weekend to make the event a standout attraction for visitors to the region.
Now in its 47th year, the Easter Art Expo remains a much-loved local tradition, with organisers already looking ahead to next year’s event.
